Constitution Day
Citizens of the United States have celebrated Independence Day and Presidents' Day since the 1870s, and in 2005, the nation began to observe Constitution Day. Also known as Citizenship Day, Constitution Day honors the day that 39 delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the United States Constitution, September 17, 1787.
This year, the Constitutional Democracy Project at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law is honoring Constitution Day with a panel discussion on Supreme Court reform. This event is open to the public and will be a virtual event on Zoom.
